Antioch Adoptions is a non-profit child-placing agency with offices in Washington and Arizona. For over 25 years, we have had the privilege of placing 500+ children in adoptive homes. We believe every child deserves a loving, nurturing home, whether with their biological or adoptive family.
We keep caseloads small to provide individualized attention to the needs of both the expectant or birth mother and the potential adoptive couple. Adoption can be an extremely stressful and emotional process so we devote as much time to each person as possible.
What Does It Mean to Be Fee-Free?
Expectant mothers or birth mothers are never charged a fee for using Antioch Adoptions. But what sets us apart from other adoption agencies is the fact that we don’t charge our potential adoptive parents a fee either.
Antioch Adoptions receives no financial support from the States of Washington or Arizona. We rely strictly on the faithful giving of individual donors, local church support, and grants.
How We Began
Antioch Adoptions began with a parable. Matthew 25:14-30. This particular parable tells about a wealthy man who prepares to go on a journey and entrusts his property to three servants. He gives them different amounts of “talents” (sums of money) based on their abilities.
Pastor Hutcherson said, “The parable teaches that we are expected to use the gifts and resources God has given us responsibly and productively. Faithfulness, initiative, and wise stewardship are rewarded, while fear and inaction are not.”
The church then distributed $16,000 to those in attendance. Ages 5 to 17 were given $5 each. Ages 18 and older were given $10. All were asked to pray about what to do with the money as faithful stewards.
Through the congregation’s faithfulness, $280,000 was collected at Christmas and used as seed money to establish Antioch Adoptions.
