Your Burning Questions, Answered.
If you have a question that isn’t answered in our FAQs, please get in touch and let us know.
Women choose to place their children for adoption for many reasons. Perhaps they are not ready to parent or don’t wish to be a parent. Their age, lack of financial assistance, or the fact that they are already raising other children could be different reasons. Sometimes, illness or an addiction means they are incapable of parenting. Let’s discuss your unique situation to determine if adoption is right for you.
You are considering adoption because you love your child, but it’s that love that makes adoption a difficult choice. There is no easy answer to this question. However, you are free to change your mind at any time until you sign a Consent to Adoption form. We promise to provide thorough counseling so you can make a confident decision one way or another.
Absolutely! You can review profiles and pictures of our carefully prescreened families. You can even meet them before your baby is born. You can also choose a friend, family member, or someone who has been recommended to you. The choice of who raises your child is totally up to you.
Different laws apply to a birth father’s rights. We make every effort to contact the person(s) you name as the potential father. Often, knowing he will be responsible for child support, a father quickly agrees to an adoption. However, each situation must be handled differently to ensure a legal adoption process.
This is one of the myths of adoption. Choosing an open or semi-open adoption helps you and your child build a special bond throughout your lives. Although we cannot assure you that you and your child will have a close relationship, we can ensure that a loving adoptive family will care for your child.
That is up to you. Following your baby’s birth, you can hold and care for them as much as you like. We will visit you in the hospital and help you make a plan for placing your baby with their adoptive parents. Many mothers want their babies to be placed with the adoptive couple directly from the hospital. Others prefer their child go into temporary care while they reflect on their adoption decision. It is your choice.
